We know that Christmas isn’t far away when Ollie Halford calls. That’s not us being flippant and assuming he will ask for our help again, but this year is the seventh he has called, so we must he doing something right!
We love working and representing Ollie and his team. Why? Because he has a super seasonal business based on a great product and great service. 2024 sees the level of professionalism he brings to the tree operation going up another level.
The pub car park at The Tweseldown is more reminiscent of an Alpine Forest and it’s worth going down after dark when the site is illuminated. The photograph below does not really do it justice.
The video, shot on a mobile, shows how involved people get with their tree. It’s not enough to point, pick and pack anymore. By providing a positive purchasing experience, people will return year after year.
A great Christmas tree product
But you can have the best frontage in the world, but that won’t cover up a poor core product offering. The number of 5 Star Google Reviews from happy Christmas Tree customers is evidence that Ollie has an excellent supply line of fresh tress that give pleasure in the lead up to Christmas, as well as looking great on the big day itself.
In a town like Fleet, there will always be alternative places to buy a tree from. Within a few miles of The Tweseldown site is a Garden Centre and a DIY outlet. But because Ollie is entirely transparent in advertising the prices of the trees (and the wreaths as well) people can see Ollie is delivering both quality and value.

Great service
As the author of this piece, I can say that selling Christmas Trees is not the easiest way to earning a seasonal living. The opening hours are 7am – 7pm, 7 days a week for at least 35 days. Add in the daily set-up and shut down routine, and the need to replenish stock you need to be a hardy soul to get involved. And yet, my experience, and that of many others who buy their trees from Ollie and the team is that the friendliness and helpfulness is what sets them apart and the fact when children come along, they are made to feel part of the experience as well.
This weekend (7 and 8 December) is going to be one of the busiest. But the stock has arrived, the team are ready, the weather looks average at best. But you will be assured a festive welcome and a tree that will give you and your family a lot of pleasure this year.
Happy Christmas.
